Composed from photographs I took in Conception Bay North in 2014. I wanted to tell a little of the story of ice on the coast.  Looming giants cruise the Newfoundland waters in the spring, bringing a distinct chill to the air, and keeping the boats off the water if the pack ice comes with them.  Mists and fogs hang about them, and they crack and groan as they skirt the shore.  Painted in March of 2016 the original is 16 x 20 acrylic on canvas.
