Newfoundland is famous for its colourful houses, and we often will see the typical St. John's JellyBean Row houses depicted.  But when you get out into more rural Newfoundland, houses are rarely attached and so I thought it appropriate to pay homage to all the bright, individual homes you see as you drive west of Sin Jans

My Gaudy Hamlet continues to give me inspiration. Modeled on town squares in little villages in Germany, this one still has uniquely Newfoundland characteristics, in the cliffs and bay, and the general lack of trees near the shore. The sea is the focal point and the fishery is never far from our hearts, and so the bronzed fish fountain sparkles with water twisted in the wind. Completed in the late fall of 2017.
